Trav’s cousin Jason and his fiance Ashley are expecting a baby girl, due just 6 weeks before us! They have named their precious girl Kingsli Michele, in honor of her grandmothers.
To celebrate Kingsli’s pending arrival, friends and family threw a sweet, mermaid-themed baby shower–a theme I had somehow overlooked when perusing their registry a few months back (woops!). At the time, I had mainly noticed an owl theme in purple and green; hence, I made a little owl plushie for baby Kingsli. (The Little Mermaid can now befriend a feathered friend.)
I have since made a few more owls in different colors, modifying the body along the way. My mom loved it so much, I sent her an owl of her own to keep.
