When I first started crocheting, friends would “Oooo” and “Ahhh” at pictures of my work, and on a few occasions, excitedly offer a “Congratulations!!” I can see why people assumed that I may have been subtly announcing a pregnancy, seeing as most of the things I make are for babies and children…but alas, I was not pregnant.
…until now!

This is an old ultrasound. I am currently 16+5w.
Now that we ARE expecting a baby, people have asked if I am in a crocheting frenzy. Interestingly enough, I have been exceptionally unmotivated to crochet!! I don’t know if it’s due to the fact that we don’t have a nursery theme or color scheme picked, that I was battling fatigue and nausea, or that I am just hitting a creativity wall after furiously crocheting for a couple years; but I have not produced much in the last few months (womp).
Have any of the crocheters out there experienced this? I read that the brain shrinks during pregnancy, too. Hm…I’m hoping that this crochet block ends soon so that I can get back to my usual groove.
PS. Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mothers out there, especially ours.
